United Arab Emirates

Nowhere is the mingling of past and present more evident than in United Arab Emirates' cosmopolitan city of Dubai – the starting point for many a UAE holiday. Gleaming skyscrapers and shopping malls jostle for position with Arab souks, mosques and wind towers in the most well known of the seven individual Emirates that make up the country.  Steeped in the ancient culture and heritage of Arabia, the strong tradition of desert hospitality lives on in the genuine warmth and friendliness that welcomes any visitor.

A UAE holiday with Abercrombie & Kent ensures you get the most out of your visit to this fascinating country.

See traditional architecture in religious buildings such as the multidomes Grand Mosque, boasting the tallest minaret in the area, or in traditional wind towers open on all four sides to catch the breeze which is then channelled down a central shaft to the room below.

Pristine sandy beaches and warm blue waters await you on your UAE holiday - a great way to escape the vagaries of the British climate. Shop to your heart's content in one of the largest gold souks in Arabia.  Experience the thrill of dune driving or camel riding, play on one of Dubai's world-class golf courses or sail away on a dhow cruise.

As a delightful counterpoint the imposing Hajar Mountains are an oasis of calm amidst dramatic ridges, whilst the awesome expanse of the Arabian desert beckons you to discover its eerily romantic landscape.

There is more to an A&K holiday in the UAE than the gleaming city of Dubai.
