Guyana holidays

Guyana holidays are not for the faint hearted.  Accommodation can be basic, roads unpaved and vehicles battered by the terrain.  However, any well-prepared, adventurous visitor will be richly rewarded by this country's raw and untouched wilderness.

Guyana holidays with Abercrombie & Kent are the ideal way to get the most out of this rugged, yet beautiful country.

Guyana, 'Land of Many Waters', lies at a point where the Caribbean meets South America. It is about the same size as Great Britain and is the only country in South America where English is the official language. Jaguars still roam the forests, leatherback turtles nest on the beaches and giant river otters and arapaima are easily spotted in Guyana's many rivers.  Not to mention the 800 or so bird species that hide in the forests of this wildlife-rich destination.

Beyond the wildlife, any Guyana holiday must take in the falls at Kaieteur, the protected forest at Iwokrama, the Amerindian tribes and the capital Georgetown, all forming part of Guyana's unique and distinctive appeal.  Every Guyana holiday with A&K is an unforgettable experience.
