Japan consists of over 6800 islands offering varying climates. The main island of Honshu boasts the country's two main gateways, Tokyo famed for its vibrancy and modern feel and Osaka dubbed the 'Kitchen of the Nation' for its rich food culture. Kyoto is very much the Japan of the imagination, it is a city of grand palaces, ornate shrines, wonderful gardens and where Geisha still shuffle along the streets. A trip to Japan would not be complete without a visit to the iconic Mount Fuji.
