Botswana is synonymous with luxury and safari, and a Botswana safari with Abercrombie & Kent is where the two meet. Our unique combination of local knowledge and exclusive access ensures that, for A&K safaris in Botswana, luxury does not come at the expense of unforgettable experience. The idea is simple: to ensure that our Botswana safaris get you up close and personal, taking in wildlife, scenery, native culture and once in a lifetime experiences, but on your terms and in comfort and style.
Safaris in Botswana with A&K are as diverse as the country itself, each designed to match your needs and interests.
At the heart of Botswana is the Okavango Delta, one of the greatest natural wonders in the world with endless channels of crystal clear water carpeted with floating lilies, tiny islands ablaze with colour and packed full of Africa's finest game. Seasonal variations in water levels mean that you can explore via open-sided vehicles or from the water in traditional mokoros - a unique perspective that sets A&K safaris in Botswana apart. The Moremi Game Reserve covers some 20 percent of the Okavango Delta, enjoying a wide diversity of habitats.
The Selinda Reserve is located in Northern Botswana covering 320,000 acres, the Selinda spillway links together with the Okavango Delta to the flood plans of the Linyanti Swamps, which provides a major thoroughfare for game migration, an ideal destination for a Botswana safari.
Another of Botswana's spectacular parks is Chobe National Park, home to some of the largest concentrations of game in Africa, with elephant herds reaching up to 500 in size. The Kalahari Desert meanwhile offers the spirituality of the Makgadikgadi Pans and the humbling experience of spending time with the peoples of the San - The Kalahari Bushmen. The Makgadikgadi Pans are the surreal remains of the world's largest super lake next to which is the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, a grasslands area attracting thousands of animals after the rains.
