Best time to be there

Bhutan offers warm days and cool nights all year round. October and November are arguably the best months, when the monsoon has passed and the skies are clear for mountain photography. The spring months of March, April and May are best for the flora, but it can be stormy as the monsoon builds up for July-September.

Bhutan holidays

Bhutan holidays and trekking experiences provide a taste of a unique way of life that is protected from the influences of the 21st century. Como and Aman hotels have opened up Bhutan holidays to the luxury traveller by building new properties in the entry point town of Paro, which lies in the centre of the rich, fertile Paro valley.

Bhutan holidays with Abercrombie & Kent are unforgettable, thanks to our often unique and privileged access and local knowledge.

Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan, lies in a beautiful, wooded valley, sprawling up a hillside on the bank of the Thimphu Chhu River. It is the only world capital without traffic lights. Despite recent development, Thimphu retains its charming, medieval feel thanks to its brightly painted and elaborately decorated facades, ensuring that holidays to Bhutan leave a lasting impression on even the most experienced traveller.

A holiday to Bhutan can offer some of the best trekking opportunities in the world. There are many day treks through the Paro Valley. Visit the Black and White Temples in the Haa Valley only recently opened to tourists. Whilst the trekking is at altitude, the visitor will be rewarded with beautiful remote temples and incredible views of the Himalayas.

Tailored to your individual needs, your Bhutan holiday with Abercrombie & Kent is sure to be a memorable experience.
