Depart from London-Heathrow with KLM via Amsterdam for your flight to Arusha where you will overnight at the Arusha Coffee Lodge. Set within a coffee plantation, the spacious suites offer private veradahs and en suite bathrooms.Day 2 - Arusha/Tarangire
This morning you will fly from Arusha to Swala Camp, overlooking the Gursi marshes, much favoured by elephant. Nine luxury tents are set on wooden decks with polished floors, each with en suite facilities and secluded game viewing verandahs. Relax before an afternoon game drive through the wooded savannahs and the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. Day 3 - Tarangire
The morning starts with an early cup of tea or coffee, before meeting a new African dawn. Game drives here are by open-topped Land-Cruiser driven by a knowledgeable and experienced ranger. To maintain the country-house atmosphere, drinks (except champagne) are included here, and the entertaining and informative camp managers are always on hand with their experience in bushcraft and the art of hospitality.Day 4 - Tarangire/Ngorongoro
There is time for a morning game drive before flying to Lake Manyara. Meet your A&K driver guide and drive to explore a working Tanzanian plantation. En route stop for lunch at Gibbs Farm, where a wonderful lunch will recharge your energy for the afternoon drive through the lush countryside to the Ngorongoro Lodge. Day 5 - Ngorongoro Crater
Explore the marvel of the crater, less than ten miles in diameter, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a natural wildlife theatre. At this spectacular World Heritage site, highland forest covers the sheer sides. Drive down to the crater floor and enter a world of grasslands, acacia, copses, pools and streams. Day 6 - Ngorongoro/Serengeti
This morning after breakfast head to Lake Manyara for your shared flight to the Serengeti. Alternatively you can be driven through the spectacular scenery of the Ngorongoro Highlands. Seeing the vastness and beauty of these plains is one of life's great experiences. Your journey to Kusini Camp is also an ideal game viewing opportunity. Once night has brought game activities to a close, drinks and dinner are shared with your hosts and the other guests. Accommodation is in luxury walk-in East African tents, set on individual wooden platforms with private views.Day 7 - Serengeti
In the immediate area of the camp, short grass plains, rocky outcrops and tortilis woodland offer conditions to suit every type of animal, so the game viewing experience is especially varied. The exact schedule is very much up to you: arrange a picnic lunch and stay out all day, or simply relax on your verandah.Day 8 - Serengeti/Kilimanjaro/London
Fly back to Arusha where you will connect with you KLM flight from Kilimanjaro to London-Heathrow via Amsterdam, arriving the following day.Zanzibar ExtensionThe perfect finale to a safari is to spend some time relaxing on a beach beside the Indian Ocean.
