Day 1 - Kuala Lumpur - Kota KinabaluUpon arrival in Kota Kinabalu, transfer to the Shangri-La Rasa Ria Hotel for a four night stay.Day 2 - Kota Kinabalu
After breakfast, depart for half day city tour of Kota Kinabalu. Discover Sabah's Heritage in the museum see panoramic views of the city from Signal Hill, Sabah Foundation (only building in Asia with column-free floors), drive through the Likas residential area - the "Beverly Hills" of Kota Kinabalu and visit the State Mosque.Day 3 - Kota Kinabalu
Depart for Kinabalu Park (87km/2 hours) a major attraction in Sabah. Enjoy the unique flora and fauna of Borneo wilderness. Here, you can view the majestic Mount Kinabalu which towers 4095 metres above lush tropical jungles.Take a walk through the established trails to see over a 1000 species of rare orchids and the unusual pitcher plant that feasts on unwary insects. Day 4 - Kota Kinabalu
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Sandakan and the Sepilok Forest Reserve – 4,440 hectares of virgin equatorial rainforest. Walk into the Borneo Jungle to see how the orphaned and captive orang utans are rehabilitated for their release into the wild or explore the Reserve through numerous self-guilding trails. Before leaving Sandakan, visit the fish and vegetable marketplace and Redhill for a bird’s eye view of the city Day 5 - Kota Kinabalu - Onward journey
After breakfast, the morning is at leisure until your transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
