Day 1 - London/AmmanYour flight departs from London - Heathrow this afternoon, and you arrive at the capital city of Amman late this evening. On arrival, transfer to the Four Seasons Hotel Amman for four nights.

Day 2- Amman

Today you will explore the city of Amman, including the Roman ruins of the Citadel and the King Abdullah Mosque. Enjoy a visit to the old houses of Amman and meet the locals at one of the many coffee shops. Take the option of a traditional Turkish bath and massage or enjoy dinner in a local Jordanian home.

Day 3 - Amman

This morning set off to enjoy the most dramatically situated Roman era town in Jordan, Umm Qais. Continue on to see the panoramic views of Pella. In the afternoon proceed to the Greco-Roman city of Jerash, known as the ‘Pompeii of the East’ and also the city of 1,000 pillars.

Day 4 - Amman

Today you will visit the desert castles of Kharraneh, Amra and Azraq. Also explore the abandoned ghost town of Umm al-Jimal, a once thriving metropolis.

Day 5 - Amman/Petra

After breakfast, you will drive south along the Kings’ Highway, with stops at the Byzantine Church of Mount Nebo and Madaba where you will see a unique map of the Holy Land. Proceed to Kerak to visit the famous crusader castle and continue to Petra for a three night stay at the Movenpick Petra Resort.

Day 6 - Petra

Today, a guided tour of the magnificent ‘Rose-Red City’ will allow you to see the Treasury, Royal Tombs, Theatre and Roman City, all hewn from solid mountain rock.

Day 7 - Petra

Continue your tour of Petra with a climb to the Monastery or visit the high places of Petra. End your day with a sunset tour of the dramatic landscapes of Wadi Rum.

Day 8 - Petra/Dead Sea

This morning visit the crusader built 12th century Shobak Castle and in the afternoon explore the Dana Nature Reserve, where you may see the mountain gazelles and Nubian ibex. Continue to the Dead Sea where you will spend the next two nights at the Kempinski Ishtar Hotel & Spa.

Day 9 - Dead Sea

Today visit the Baptism site of Jesus, with plastered pools and water systems that were used almost certainly for mass baptisms. An afternoon at leisure allows time for a ‘swim’ in the Dead Sea.

Day 10 - Dead Sea/London

After a morning transfer back to Amman, board your Royal Jordanian flight to London - Heathrow, arriving in the afternoon.
