Day 1 – London/BeijingBoard your overnight British Airways flight from Heathrow to Beijing.

Day 2 – Beijing

Arrive in Beijing and check into the Peninsula Beijing hotel, home for the next three nights. Visit the historic grandeur of Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and Hongqiao Market or Silk Alley.

Day 3 – Beijing

A full day excursion with a local lunch to the Great Wall of China, the world’s largest manmade structure. Climb the ramparts at Mutianyu and take a cable car ride. This afternoon enjoy a boat ride on Kunming Lake, take a tour by pedicab and visit the Temple of Heaven.

Day 4 – Beijing/Lijiang

An early morning transfer for your flight to Lijiang. On arrival check-in to the Banyan Tree Lijiang hotel for a two night stay. Enjoy an afternoon walking tour of the old town and an evening dance performance.

Day 5 - Lijiang

This morning see Baisha Village and Murals, Longquan Village and Dragon Spring Ancestral Temple. After lunch at a local restaurant visit Black Dragon Pool Park (Heilongtan) and Dongha Museum.

Day 6 - Lijiang/Zhongdian

Today travel overland to Angsana, your base for the next two nights. En route see the first bend in the YangzI River, Shigu Village and Tiger Leaping Gorge whilst enjoying a boxed lunch from the hotel.

Day 7 - Zhongdian

Today visit Ringha village then after enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, drive to Gyalthang, home to the Songzangling Monastery.

Day 8 - Zhongdian/Lhasa

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lhasa. On arrival transfer to the Lhasa Hotel for a three night stay. This afternoon explore Barkhor Bazzar.

Days 9 to 10 Lhasa

Sightseeing of Lhasa includes the Potala Palace, Sera Monastery and Old Town, Tibetan Musuem and Norbulingka with lunches at local restaurants.

Day 11 - Lhasa/Chengdu

This morning fly to Chengdu and transfer to the Sheraton Chengdu Lido hotel for a overnight stay. This afternoon visit Du Fu’s cottage and the Wu Hou Temple prior to an evening performance of face changing, a magical art where actors change up to ten masks in 20 seconds by slight of hand and illusion.

Day 12 - Chengdu/Beijing/London

A full day sightseeing including the amazing Panda Breeding Centre where you may be fortunate enough to hug a baby panda. After enjoying your boxed hotel lunch visit the Sanxingdui museum. Then transfer to the airport for your connecting flight through Beijing to London.
